I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the members of this generous community of ours for their continued support to the Islamic Institute of Knowledge and its long list of projects and activities over the last three decades. Your support encourages us to always look forward to the completion of much needed projects such as the Islamic Funeral Prep Facility, which the Islamic Institute is diligently working on establishing on part of its property.  This funeral facility will be design to provide full service funeral needs including washing, visitations and transportation to the cemetery in a strictly Islamic atmosphere.

The Islamic Institute of Knowledge, under the direction of Imam, Sheikh Abdul Latif Berry, coupled with the hard work and effort of the board members, thrives to protect the Islamic personality of the our Muslims brothers and sisters; especially, the youth among us so that they become the real messengers of Islam who can work on removing the stereotyping of Islam through reflecting in their behavior and attitude the true identity of the religion. Islam is a a true religion of unity, understanding and tolerance and not that of terror and division. Imam Ali once said: “People are two kinds, a brother to you in faith or an equal to you in humanity.”

I am always looking forward to continued cooperation and prosperity among us.

بسمه تعالى والحمد لله على نِعَمِه والشكر له أولاً وآخراً..

وبعد، فإني أتقدم بالشكر الجزيل من أبناء الجالية الكرام على دعمكم المتواصل ومؤازرتكم المستمرة لمسيرة المجمع الاسلامي الثقافي الذي أثمر مؤسسات دينية وتربوية وثقافية.  هذا الدعم يجعلنا نتطلع دائماً نحو الأمام لتحقيق المزيد من الانجازات. وفي هذا السياق استطاع المجمع الاسلامي الثقافي وبعد الاتكال على الله عز وجل وعلى همة المؤمنين والمؤمنات وأهل الكرم من أبناء جاليتنا المعطاءة القيام بخطوة نوعية وكبيرة تتمثل في البدء بمشروع المغسل الاسلامي والذي سيكون له فائدة كبيرة على جاليتنا بعد الانتهاء من إنجازه من الناحيتين الشرعية والمادية.

إن المجمع الاسلامي الثقافي ممثلاً بسماحة العلامة فضيلة الشيخ عبداللطيف بري والاخوة الأعضاء الكرام يسعى جاهداً ومن خلال مشاريعه ونشاطاته الدينية والثقافية والتربوية للحفاظ على شخصية الانسان المسلم في بلاد الاغتراب وخصوصاً جيل الشباب لكي يكونوا رسلاً صالحين للاسلام من خلال تفاعلهم وتعاملهم مع مختلف فئات المجتمع الأميركي وإزالة الصورة النمطية المشوهة عن الاسلام وذلك بإبرازهم للوجه الحقيقي للإسلام من خلال تطبيق تعاليمه السماوية السمحاء التي تسعى لرفع الظلم وإحقاق الحق والعدالة بين البشر. فالإسلام هو دين الايمان والمحبة لا دين العنف والتفرقة حيث أنه قام أساساً على إثنتين: التوحيد ووحدة الكلمة. وقد صدق الامام علي (ع) حين قال: "الناس صنفان، إما أخٌ لك في الدين أو نظيرٌ لك في الخلق."
